How to Install hmmer software package in Debian 9 (Stretch)

hmmer software package provides profile hidden Markov models for protein sequence analysis, you can install in your Debian 9 (Stretch) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install hmmer

hmmer is installed in your system.

Make ensure the hmmer package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep hmmer *

You will get with hmmer package name, version, architecture and description in a table
